Some details
The third phase of the complete overhaul of the 1904 four-manual, Willis II organ is now completed.
This organ is now thought to be the only surviving, unaltered, large instrument built by Henry II.
Christ Church United Reformed Church, founded by William Hesketh Lever and opened on Wednesday 8th June 1904,
is situated centrally in the picturesque garden village of Port Sunlight, Wirral.
The work carried out has included complete re-leathering of all 24 reservoirs, re-leathering of all Willis-lever key actions
and piston combination actions. The instrument has been Cleaned and Overhauled and the Pipework & Console have recently been cleaned and restored.
